Passive fresh air inlet ducts waste energy, are sometimes plugged, therefore causing a real danger of indoor air pollution (specifically, carbon monoxide) build up in your home. If the fresh air inlet has been plugged off intentionally, insurance companies can refuse claims on fire damage, not to mention the threat that carbon monoxide poses to human life. Install Hoyme motorized air controls(dampers) today. They allow the fresh air in only when it is required for combustion. The result is added comfort, added safety and a saving in energy costs.
Series HOM dampers automatically control fresh air for combustion in residential and commercial buildings. Diameters from 4" to 9". For larger commercial sizes, several dampers are mounted in tandem with end switches connected in series. For retrofit and new installations.
Features Include:
1. attaches to a the combustion air supply duct.
2. Interlocks with the safety control system of gas, propane and oil fired appliances. Guaranteed to be open before the fire starts.

2. Interface Adaptors to provide interlocking connection to Millivolt DC and Line Voltage AC controls for commercial buildings

Series HOM dampers are connected to the appliance transformer and are power closed.
Series HOM dampers drop open by gravity and do not use power when the appliance fires.

The "HOM-F2" series damper connects to 2 furnaces.

The COMBUSTION FRESH AIR DAMPER,'HOM' model, is interlocked with a thermostat of a furnace or aquastat of a boiler, using either oil, propane or natural gas. When the thermostat asks for heat, this motorized damper opens to allow fresh air for complete combustion. When the furnace stops, the damper closes to prevent the entry of unnecessary cold air. This results in added comfort with a definite saving of fuel.
